The position of State Attorney is a very important one, and many Monroe County residents will be impacted by the State Attorney’s Office – in one form or another – at some point. I urge you to become fully informed on the candidates for State Attorney.
As the former Chief Assistant State Attorney for Monroe County, and with twenty-four years of experience in criminal law, I have the knowledge, experience and judgment to lead the State Attorney’s Office into the future.
As State Attorney, my office will focus our resources on prosecuting violent crimes, crimes against persons and career criminals. Youthful offenders, first-time offenders and victimless crimes will be handled appropriately, with a focus on education and rehabilitation.
The State Attorney, like all elected officials, is a public servant. My office will be open, transparent and accessible. We will strive constantly to be better, innovative, and most of all – effective. The State Attorney’s “client” is the People of the State of Florida, and that is a client that deserves to be, and will be, represented with dignity.
